The story
My name is Wyatt Prout, raised right in Yarmouth. I got my first client when I was 12. My dad would drive me over to their house, I'd unload my mower out of the back of his truck, and I'd cut their lawn. That was the start of it.
A few years later, when I was 16, I'd been working at Hancock Lumber and saving everything I made. I used that money to buy a truck. Then I tracked down a free lawn mower that wouldn't start, brought it home, took it apart, and got it running. That was the real beginning of Prout's Property Maintenance.
I started posting on the Yarmouth community page, and people gave me a shot. One client turned into five, five turned into twenty, and almost every single one came from word of mouth — a neighbor telling a neighbor that the kid down the road did good work.
Where we are today
Yarmouth took care of me when I was starting out. People trusted me with their properties before I'd really earned it, and that's a debt I take seriously. So Prout's Property Maintenance tries to take care of Yarmouth back — by showing up when we say we will, doing the work right the first time, and treating every property like it's our own.
Five years later, the business has grown. We bring on additional crew for larger projects, but every property is overseen personally by Wyatt Prout and held to the same standard.
